Renowned photo Safari leader and Really Right Stuff customer Andy Biggs approached us about developing an adaptable support system he could recommend to his clients. Thus began our quest to design Safari gear that delivers unsurpassed long lens support in a demanding African Safari environment. Our gear combines the mobility of a monopod with the stability of a tripod while maintaining a compact and lightweight setup in a vehicle.
The Safari MC34-Collar securely collars the metal cap/end (which covers the top of the largest carbon fiber tube) on the Really Right Stuff MC-34 monopod. The monopod MC34-Collar has three 3/8"-16 threaded and keyed holes to accept multiple Safari Ball Clamps.
Alternatively, anything with a 3/8"-16 stud can be mounted to the Safari Collar and therefore to your monopod.
